DescriptionFile containing more than 25 documents and letters related to Holocaust Survivor Vladimir Barzach, former inmate of Lida Ghetto, participation in the War Crimes trial that took place concerning the mass murder of Jews in Lida by Leopold Windisch, Rudolf Werner and Hanweg. Vladimir was invited to be a witness at the trial, but some of his evidence was not accepted as it was regarded as hearsay. The collection includes his 13 page typed testimony in German (untranslated). Some of the letters relate to his request for compensation for the trip. A curatorial decision has been taken to accession the file as one item; individual accessioning can take place at a later stage when the Museum has resources to deal with the material.
