DescriptionSet of two hand towels, monogrammed “S” (Stern), light yellow in colour with fringed borders and ornamental flowers. Part of the Stern family linen, which traveled with the family on their journey from Germany to South Africa in 1939. The towels – an ordinary object of everyday life also represents a link with the life before the family was forced to move.
