Ludwig died in Slovakia during the War after having being released from prison, suffering from diabetes. His tombstone is engraved with "Ruhe in Frieden!" - Rest in Peace. Olga was murdered by means of rifle butt in November 1944 (see death certificate M2009/099:009). The victims were apparently dug up from the mass grave, identified and reburied in individual graves. The Jewish Cemetery is in Banovce nad Bebravou.
