Gunner J. Davis (Davidovitz), AIF who was killed in action on April 30, in north Australia. He had recently celebrated his 28th birthday. He was the youngest son of Mr. B. Davidovitz and Mrs. E. Davidovitz of 32 Blaxland Road, Bellevue Hill.
Gunner Davis was among the first to enlist and had been on active service for over two years. Much sympathy is expressed for his parents to whom he had been an ideal son and to his brothers and sisters who will cherish the memory of a wonderful brother. Previous to enlistment he was a gunner in the Militia in which he took a keen interest. He resigned from a responsible position with the Kreisler Radio Company to enlist.
