DescriptionA small piece of yellowing paper with what appears to be a typed caption to a photographgraph (the actual photograph may be M2008/068:023). The caption ridicules the award of Knight's Cross by Hitler to his personal physician, Dr. Theo Morell. It reads: "Anybody want his job? Somewhere in Germany Adolf Hitler awards his personal physician, Prof. Dr. Theo Morell, the "Knight's Cross of War Service Cross." Dr. Morell, who has been Hitler's special doctor since 1936, had better get busy and concoct remedies for a nervous breakdown. (photograph radioed from Stockholm to New York today...3/3/44.)" Coming from the New York Bureau, it is credited to ACME Radiophotograph.
