DescriptionWristwatch belonging to Alfred Davis, an Australian Jewish serviceman and pilot who served as a wireless interpreter and intelligence officer in WWII. The maker of the timepiece itself is unidentified, but the band is handmade from metal salvaged from WWII aircraft. The band is engraved with a floral pattern and the names of places where Alf served: New Guinea, 1944; Leyte, 1944; Biak, 1944; and Manila, 1945.
