DescriptionMetal, shield-shaped badge depicting the torch emblem of Legacy Australia, a charitable organisation aiming to care for dependents of deceased Australian servicemen. The badge has yellow and red enamel paint and is on a long pin. The maker's name, A.J. Parkes, is impressed on the reverse as is "$5", the purchase price for this fund-raising badge. This badge belonged to Australian Jewish serviceman Alfred Davis who was a wireless translator and intelligence officer in WWII, primarily serving in the Philippines.
