DescriptionPrayer book, Tefilat Israel, published in Vienna in 1864. Also included in the binding is a unique, additional section titled Thechinah, originally published in Vienna in 1862, that includes more prayers. The book has a red velvet cover decorated with small silver ornaments (ornaments missing from the back cover) and larger silver ornaments (present on the front and back covers) showing the Ten Commandments held by two lions with a crown above and botanical elements above and below. A gilt clasp holds the book closed and the page edges are gilt as well. The book itself is in Hebrew and the broken spine reveals additional Hebrew-texted paper used as fill beneath.
