DescriptionTelegram, in German, sent to Brautpaar Sonnabend (the Sonnabend wedding couple), Wahrendorffsg 3 Stockholm, Sweden, on the day of their wedding, 28 April 1946. It was sent by a group of friends from the Displaced Person's Camp [Rydsbrunn ?] where Isi and Mala were living at the time of their wedding. It wishes the couple luck, joy and satisfaction on their new life together. Isi Sonnabend and Mala Rekant met in the Bialystock Ghetto. They were separated when the ghetto was liquidated then briefly reunited in Auschwitz. They were separated again when Auschwitz was evacuated by the Nazis then miraculously reunited in Sweden after the war. They married at Mosaiska Synagogue in Stockholm, Sweden, and later moved to Australia.
