DescriptionLetter, 4 pages, hand written by D. J. McKenzie on April 9, 1984 (addressee unknown) applauding the news he read about the cities of Parramatta, NSW, and Beersheba becoming sister-cities. He also describes his experience in Palestine in WWII and the activities of the Light Horse in Inverell (photographgraph of Inverell Light Horse Brigade included M2008/020:001). In particular he describes Sergeant Jack Pollack, a local WWI returned serviceman, who participated in the charge of Beersheba by the 4th Australian Light Horse Brigade on 31 October 1917.
