DescriptionBrass Sabbath lamp from Eastern Europe (probably Polish) dating from the early 19th century. has six pointed star, hanging finial, hoop suspension ring. Bought in Australia from a Holocaust survivor who came from Czechoslovakia. When they heard that the Germans were dismantling synagogues, families went to the local synagogue to rescue items. Not sure which town this was rescued from.
