DescriptionThis is a personal letter from Captain George Dick Smith chaplain of the 30th Australian Infantry Battalion, the chaplain tells Mrs Platt about the service that he had for Robert on his death stating that his body was laid to rest on a hill inland from Wewack in New Guinea, the battalion pioneers made a neat white stone to act as a marker, and eventually it would be moved to a war grave. Captain smith then concludes his letter with a traditional Christian prayer. Letter four pages long A-D
