DescriptionThis is a photo of Pilot Officer Ben Broit of the RNZAF (Royal New Zealand Air Force) and his wife Naomi. Ben Broit qualified as an air gunner in 1940 and was sent to England for pilot training, where he was posted to ‘151 Night Fighter Squadron’. Ben was involved in three crashes whilst in 151 squadron and as a result of his injuries was discharged from the Air Force on the 4/4/1944. This photo was taken some time in 1943 just after he was married.
