DescriptionA set of 10 prints in a folder, by artist and holocaust survivor - Joseph Bau, depicting scenes from a Nazi concentration camp. The artist, who was at school in Krakow in 1939 with donor's husband, gave it to the donor the the latter visited him in Israel. The artist Joseph Bau was born in Krako 1920, died in 2002 was one of survivors in "Schindler's Arc".
This print depicts a man eating soup from a bowl. He is dressed in a stripped concentration camp uniform with the number 69084 on them, and is holding a spoon. Behind the man, other men are lining up to receive their ration of soup. According to the artist’s official website (http://www.josephbau.org/) the title of this drawing is ‘Soup’.
