TitleTrau keinem Fuchs auf grüner Heid und keinem Jud auf seinem Eid (Trust No Fox on his Green Heath and No Jew on his Oath)
Description
Antisemitic German children’s book published by the Stürmer Publishing House in 1936. This was the first of three such propaganda books, which were widely distributed in schools and used to indoctrinate German children to despise Jews. Trust no Fox on his Green Heath and no Jew on his Oath was written by 18-year-old art student Elvira Bauer. It contains rhymes and illustrations which ridicule Jewish cultural and religious practices, and reflect the Nazi ideology that Jews were an inferior and dishonest race. It is a noteworthy example of the rise of Antisemitism under Hitler and shocking evidence of how children were taught to hate.
