DescriptionCompilation of two books, in Hebrew, neither is a book of prayers:
1. The first book is a midrashic text called Pirkei de-Rabbi Eliezer
for more info see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirkei_De-Rabbi_Eliezer
2. the second is a book on Hebrew grammar by Abraham Ibn Ezra- titled Sefer Moznaim
The book was donated by George Varnai. It was given to a bar mitzvah boy named Nachman in 1785. The cover features a dedicatory poem, praising Nachman for his wisdom and hoping that this book will serve as an enduring testament to his aptitude.
"The title is abbreviated here as Sefer Moznayim (ספר מאזנים), but the full title is Sefer Moznei Lashon haQodesh (ספר מאזני לשון הקודש). It is a Hebrew grammar, written in the 12th century by R’Avraham ibn Ezra, but here printed in 1770. It features an extended grammatical introduction by Eliyahu ben Asher Halevi".
