DescriptionPhotograph of 10 Jews being hung in Poland (Zelow). Right side of photo is a member of Gestapo and Jewish policeman (?) Hanka's husband Majer Glikman was a photographer, and during the war a young boy asked him to develop a roll of film. This photo was one of those prints which he developed. He kept a copy for himself and hid it immediately. Within an hour, the boy's father, who was an officer in the German army, came to Majer and told him not to develop the film and demanded it be returned. Majer gave the film back and the officer didn't know that Majer had kept the prints for himself.
