The girls arrived with their parents on board the D. Main which left Germany on 24 October 1938 and arrived in Australia in December 1938. The donor, Margot Tischmann nee Fuks, is on the left. Miriam Rottenstein is on the right.
The caption reads:
From Berlin, these two children came with their parents to Australia and will settle in NSW. They are passengers in the steamer Main, from Antwerp. Fearing consequences to relatives in Germany, father and mother would not give their names.
