DescriptionLetter from Techa (Marylka Einhorn's mother) in Krakow, Poland, to Lina (Linka Greidinger - donor). The letter thanks Lina for the parcel of chocolates and gives news of Marylka and Ina, dated 19 February 1942. She writes: "But I'm very worried that you must have deprived yourself a lot to be able to send it. They both, thank g-d look well and do with out. They can eat lollies so don't be silly and don't send things that you probably can't afford." She then writes: "We still have received no news of our close ones." The letter on the reverse, in child's handwriting, is from the daughter Marylka to her aunt Lina (Linka Greidinger - donor) in which she thanks her for the parcel of cocoa she sent.
Marylka Einhorn and cousin Ina (Inka) wrote letters from Cracow where they were cared for by their grandparents and Marylka's mother. They wrote to aunt Linka Greidinger (the donor). Both girls were deported on Rosh Hashana 1942.

She is clever and she is eager to learn. I can say the same about Inka. I hope you received the photo of Marylka. Until today have not received from you a reply to my last letter. Marylka says that her Aunty sent Inka the chocolate too because she surely remembers how envious Inka was, but now she is more understanding. Marylka still remember Mr Stefek very well. Both Marylka and Inka are terribly proud of the parcel they received. We still have received no news of our close ones. Health wise we are alright but that is all.

Dear Aunty and Uncle,
I thank you very much for the fabulous chocolate and exquisite cocoa which we received yesterday together with Inushka. I haven't eaten those things for such a long time and that is why they taste so special. I make good progress and I already finished elementary course.
