DescriptionAnti-Semitic propaganda poster published in Munich in 1942. The poster is titled Die Drahtzieher! (The string-pullers / The men who pull the strings!) The text is an excerpt from a speech that Adolf Hitler gave to the Reichstag on April 26, 1942, where he denounces Jews as the instigators of both World Wars, the rise of communism, and the reason Germany lost World War I. The poster includes photographs of six prominent Jewish figures; including the American financier, Bernard Baruch; United States Supreme Court Associate Justice, Felix Frankfurter; Soviet diplomat, Maxim Litvinov; the British politician, Leslie Hore-Belisha; and the German politicians, Walther Rathenau and Kurt Eisner.

The Führer spoke on April 26, 1942:
The hidden forces that drove England into the First World War as early as 1914 were Jews. The force that crippled us ourselves at that time and finally, claiming that Germany might no longer carry its flag home victoriously, forced us to surrender it was a Jewish force. Jews instigated Revolution among our people and so robbed us of any further capacity to resist. But since 1939 Jews have also manoeuvred the British Empire into its dangerous crisis. Jews were the carriers of the Bolshevist infection that once threatened to destroy Europe. But at the same time they were also the warmongers in the ranks of the plutocracies. A circle of Jews has in the past driven America into the war against all that country's own interests, purely and solely to serve Jewish capitalism. And President Roosevelt, given the inadequacy of his own abilities, has that 'brains trust' for intellectual support whose leading men I do not need to list by name: They are all Jews! '
