DescriptionAnnual magazine of the United Jewish Education Board Correspondence Course, “It Toneinu” December 1962. The magazine belonged to the Pearlman family, whose children Lesley, Yvonne and Alan participated in the correspondence course from 1956-62. The course was run by Cala Rosenberg and Ella Barr, and linked Jewish families in regional areas in Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and New Zealand. The Pearlman family were wheat farmers who lived in Moree NSW. Participating in Jewish correspondence courses kept families like theirs in touch, facilitated learning for young people and created a support network that was in this case international. Lesley, Yvonne and Alan are mentioned several times throughout the magazine. In particular, the magazine contains an announcement that the Pearlman family are moving back to Sydney.
