Object numberM2019/011
DescriptionPhotographs of Jewish Hungarian victims of the Shoah, left outside the Greek Orthodox Church in Surry Hills. The reverse identifies each individual and in some cases, their town of origin and location of murder during the Holocaust. Presumably, they were left at the church mistakenly and later brought to the Museum with a note stating: “I think that they belong to you”. These individuals were already represented in the Museum’s electronic memorial.
