Sam Biner (VX65356 ), named Israel Biner in enlistment records was born in Warsaw, Poland 13 April 1903. He enlisted in the AIF 27 Oct 1941 and was in Australian Electrical & Mechanical Engineers at time of discharge. Sam was taken prisoner of war and was held in Changi prison. His son Henry (Hank) also served, enlisting in the RAAF.
