Contains over 100 plates, and 600 in-text illustrations (unsigned). Vocalised Hebrew text alongside German translation. German commentary along bottom. Over 700 full and half-page reproductions of steel plate and woodcut engravings.
End of second volume contains concluding word from Furst, Masoeretic endnotes for each Book, index of Parshot and Haftorot, timeline of Biblical history, 3 full page maps of Ancient Israel and the Middle East, and a list of instructions for bookbinders.
This bible was owned by a Jewish family, but was given away for safekeeping during World War II and never returned/reclaimed.
