This chapter maps the historical literature and historiographical narrative on North African Jewries during World War II. It highlights characteristics of Jewish-Muslim relations during the 1930s and Vichy rule in North Africa. The introduction, application and impact of the anti-Jewish laws is also discussed as well as the establishment of labor camps
