ОписаниеPostcard sent from Shmuel Jakubowicz in Ottusch concentration camp, Poland, to his friend S.M. Chojnacki in another camp in Belchatow. Both men were friends of Hanka Glicksman. The letters were given to Hanka by Chojnacki after the war when she returned to Belchatow where she had been living before the war. Jakubowicz died in Lager Ottusch. Chojnacki was sent to a camp some time later, but survived and returned to Belchatow and recovered the letters. Written in Yiddish but with Roman letters. On the back it is written, "... Don't be angry that I didn't write to you. I didn't write because I didn't have time to write because I work from early in the morning when it's still dark, till night when it's dark again, including Sunday. As I am not working this Sunday, I am writing to you...."

I didn't write because I didn't have time to write because I work from early in the morning when it's still dark, till night when it's dark again, including Sunday. As I am not working this Sunday, I am writing to you. You will probably say why doesn't Zalman write. He hasn't got time to write. He works at the Fin (?) Camp di k(aJreg (?). ...to him therefore he got time. Therefore you shouldn't be angry. Write to me and I will answer you. Write what is new with you; if you work in the clothing workshop. What's new with Icek (?) he should write too. Let me know what's going on with all of you. What does Shmulek (?) write, does he know our address. I don't have his address.
