ОписаниеKennkarte - a civil identity document issued in Lemberg, Poland on 8 April 1944 to a Ukrainian Catholic woman, Marie Homonko, born 17 April 1913.

It was purchased by the donor in a flea market in Lvov, 1997.

As of July 1938, every German citizen over the age of 15 was required to carry a Kennkarte at all times. Deutsches Reich Kennkartes were constructed from durable linen to ensure their longevity and making it difficult to produce forgeries.
