ОписаниеThis letter of recommendation, pasted on cardboard and dated 19th May 1863, was handwritten by the Captain of Kent-Artillery Volunteers and Mayor, and bears his seal. It is a letter of recommendation for Harris Knopp prior to his departure for Australia. It states" This is to certify that I have known Harris Knopp for four or five years, during which time he has been an industrious, sober and respectable man, and I give him this Certificate on the eve of his departure for Australia, trusting that it may prove useforl for him as a recommendation." On the back of the cardboard, is written "Property of Owen Weingott" etc He is the father of the donor.
