    ОписаниеAustralian Armed Forces instructional poster. The poster is an original hand painted water colour with black ink line work and text. It is titled “55 Anti-Tank-Rifle.”. It shows an enlargement of and sectional view of a cartridge for the rifle and a sectional view of the magazine holding the cartridges. On the bottom right hand side the service number of V377746 belonging to Private E. H. Marcuse stationed at Bonegilla Victoria. On the rear of the poster the date and location of O.C.T.U. Bonegilla 1943, with Pte Marcuse in pencil. Ernst Marcuse (1900-1985) was a commercial artist and illustrator who came to Australia in 1939. He produced many war illustrations for The Argus Newspaper and joined the Australian Army where he produced many visual aid material for training and illustrating for Army publications.
