ОписаниеThis is the “Order of the Day” announcing the surrender of the Japanese armed forces in World War II. The orders were issued on the 8th September 1945 by Lieutenant General S. G. Savige, who was the commander of the 2nd Australian Corps of the AIF (Australian Imperial Forces). (Text is identical to M2006/125:003 however it is typed, not printed and it is on a foolscap-sized page of paper. The signature of Lieutenant General Savige is original).
