НазваниеPhotograph of the wedding of Jackie and Tony Weiss, 1983
    Создатель David Huban (photographer)‎
ОписаниеColour photograph of Jackie Weiss (nee Wise) and Tony Weiss reading the Ketubah (Hebrew marriage contract) surrounded by family.

Traditional Jewish weddings begin with separate simultaneous receptions by the groom and the bride for close friends and family. By tradition the bride and groom refrain from seeing each other for a week prior to the wedding. The bride and groom meet again surrounded by the rabbi and family as witnesses to read and sign the Ketubah. This procedure typically takes place before the wedding ceremony, usually on the same day.

This is part of a collection of images photographed by David Huban representing some of the rituals and customs at a Jewish wedding.
