    ОписаниеPen on paper drawing of Burton Street, Sydney, signed and dated by the artist, Frederick B. Lamberger, 12-02-61. It shows the intersection of Burton Street and Thomson Street in Darlinghurst, with a sign for "Sargent Cakes" above one of the buildings. In World War II Lamberger fought with the French underground movement, the Maquis, and also served as a liaison officer for the US Army. He migrated to Australia in 1950 with his sister, Catherine Gluck (nee Lamberger). He was an artist and entrepreneur who had many businesses in the King's Cross area, travelled widely and produced many drawings. Fred died on 23-01-1986 at St Vincent's Hospital in Darlinghurst, Sydney.
