ОписаниеMembership card (in German), "Die Naturfreunde" [friends of nature), established 1895. Issued from the Association of Tourists, Vienna, 1929 to Alfred Hofbauer; includes b/w photograph. The organisation appears to be a kind of Youth Working Party. Alfred escaped from Austria to Switzerland c. 1939, joined the French Foreign Legion 1939/1940, then the Pioneer Corps, British Army in 1943. He fought in North Africa and Italy in World War II and came to Australia in 1946.
