    ОписаниеDocument issued to Georg Szanto by the International Association of Deported People from Hungary. It certifies that he was deported to Mauthausen for forced labour duties by Hungarian and German fascists in 1944.

    Georg Szanto born 19 March 1907 in Budapest. He was a textile engineer and later a textile importer. Georg was placed into forced labour in Hungary around 1942 and was deported 27 October 1944 to Mauthausen, Gunzkirchen. There he worked for U.B. Fahrben company with other deported Jews. After being liberated by the Americans on 5 May 1945, Georg was taken to hospital suffering Typhus. He arrived back in Budapest in 1946 then left in 1958 to come to Australia with his wife and daughter. Mother's name Gisella Haasz.
