ОписаниеYellow cloth armband from Serbia with a Star of David in the centre. At the top and right side is 'JUDE', at the bottom and left is 'ZIDOV'.

On 23 November 1939, Polish Jews over the age of 11 were forced to wear a white armband with a blue Magen David star. The yellow star, reminiscent of medieval stigmatization, was extended to Jews over the age of six in the German Reich and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia on 1 September 1941, signaling the beginning of mass deportation. Other Nazi occupied territories and fascist states quickly followed in implementing the discriminatory decree, further isolating Jewish populations.
