A collection of songs, stories, legends, historical titbits and illustrations from the Jewish villages of Eastern Europe. The materials were selected to provide an in-depth study of Tishevits in the Lublin province of Poland during the period 1800-1914. A general overview of Eastern European Jewry is also provided
