This article consists of three parts
1. Presents a survey of some of the questions that scholarship has raised concerning the explanatory power of the concept of antisemitsm in the context of the Holocaust.
2.Focuses primarily on one objection to the validity of the concept by examining the Holocaust in Romania and Bulgaria
3, Addresses the working definition by IHRA which defines antisemitism, and shows why this definition which emerged out of discussions of the Holocaust, is particularly problematic
