Description

Stephen de Bastion had a bright future ahead as a young pianist in 1930s Hungary. Then in 1939 his world disintegrates and his story is of his time in labour camps, in Mauthausen and Gunskirchen and the horrors of the Holocaust. His granddaughter, Roxanne de Bastion, inherits his piano when her father dies and she dicovers a cassette recording of Stephen. Weaving together his original recordings, unpublished memoirs, letters and documents, Roxanne tells her grandfather's story of music and hope.
