uniqueness of contemporary antisemitism
Description
Is modern antisemitism a new phenomenon or simply an historical development of the anti-Jewish hatred of past generations? The author believes that antisemitism is a phenomenon that has assumed many different forms throughout history but whose main thrust, the hatred of Jews and the rejection of Judaism has existed unabated since Hellenistic times. Looks at the role of the stereotype in the behaviour of the masses, the Jewish question, the individual Jew to the collective Jew, as well as anti-Zionism.
