Description

The problem of the agunah, a woman who cannot remarry until proof of the death of her husband is found, have engaged rabbis, in particular in times of mass displacement and persecution. Shows that the rabbinical courts formed in the wake of the Holocaust faced unique challenges, and developed solutions to ease the problem
