There are two levels at which the genocide of Tutsis in Rwanda may be compared with the Holocaust of the Jews in Europe. At the simpler level we have two ethnic groups which were the targets of mass extermination. At a more complex level we have a biblical people whose ancestry and mission are adjudged incompatible with the aims of the dominant host.
