Joachim Schneeweiss arrived in Australia in 1939, at twelve years old, a member of an Orthodox and Zionist Eastern European family. This article details his early life and education at the University of Sydney where he studied medicine and set up his own youth organisation. The article gives the history of the Zionist Youth Movements he set up in the 1940s, and information about their activities, achievements, membership and legacy.
