Description

Looks at a novel by Barov "The Brigade" (Pitzei Bagrut) who raises the moral dilemmas faced by Israeli Jews in relating to the Holocaust. The story is narrated by a young Israeli, serving in the Jewish Brigade in Europe at the end of World War II. "The Brigade" is the first serious inquiry in Israeli literature into the emotions of shame and repulsion towards the survivors of the Holocaust
