Confronting the reality of the Holocaust: Richard Lichtheim, 1939-1942

What Lichtheim knew in September 1942, and what he meant when he wrote about "a deliberate intent to exterminate" the Jews is the subject of this paper. Lichtheim was a representative of the Zionist Executive in Europe during the war and reported to the Executive in Jerusalem.
