History, Holocaust and Covenant

A meditation on the nature of the biblical Covenant between God and the Jewish people. True Jewish history began with the exodus from Egypt. Was the Holocaust the price the Jewish people had to pay for the Covenant? It can be seen as an attempt to abort the Covenant. The State of Israel is a bulwark against a recurrence of the Holocaust.
