Description

How was the Holocaust taught in Israeli schools following World War II? It did not receive detailed attention until after the Eichmann trial, the Six Day War and the Yom Kippur War. However the teaching was characterised by inappropriate trends and, in the 1980s, replaced by a new "existential" approach which more faithfully reflected the feelings of significant parts of Israeli society.
