Description

Kupczynska traces rare contemporary examples of educational and alternative Polish comics dealing with Jewish life and the Shoah. She makes us aware of a growing number of comics commissioned and developed by memorials and museums. In the light of a growing nationalist interpretation of Polish history, the representation of the Shoah in comics shows how this trend is reflected and criticised in alternative comics
