Jewish liturgical usage includes prayers for rain (geshem) and dew (tal). Each of these prayers has a poetic, ceremonial text. In Australia, Rabbi Francis Cohen moved the prayers to acknowledge the seasons, so that geshem was said on Passover, and tal on Shimini Atzeret. This article tells the story
