Description

The author discusses the resistance of the undergound struggle waged in France and which never went beyond the stage of guerilla warfare. The position of Jews was very special in this respect, for a non-Jewish Frenchman, resistance was a voluntary choice, to the Jew he found himself mobilized for underground life almost automatically, since defying the laws and going underground was the best way for him to stay alive.
