Gross continues his narrative that the majority of Poles were anti-semitic both prior to and during World War II. States that they were often complicit in, or at the very least, bystanders of, the brutalities inflicted upon Polish Jews. A need is expressed for more recognition of this flaw in Polish Holocaust memorials
